Artist's Description

The Toronto Power Generating Station is beautifully illuminated during the Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Designed by architect E.J. Lennox, this historic icon sits on the shore of the Niagara River, just south of the Falls. Opened in 1906, purchased by Ontario Hydro in 1922, this station remained in use until 1974. Of great historical value (designated in 1983), the beautiful building remains vacant but is used at times as a movie location.
